Alpha launch — play backgammon online, free, no account
Today we open the alpha of Table Online. Free, no signup, no coins, no forced ads — and we explain exactly how dice fairness works.
We’re opening the alpha of Table Online today. The pitch is simple: play backgammon online without the friction we got tired of seeing on every other platform.
What you can do today
- Play in your browser — no install, no signup, no email
- Match online opponents in real-time multiplayer
- Practice against the computer for offline learning
- Share a friend link — invite a friend to a game in 30 seconds
The mobile apps (iOS + Android) are in development; you’ll see “Coming soon” badges on the homepage where they’ll land.
The promise we’re keeping
No coins. No paywalls. No forced ads.
We’re being clear up front: rewarded video ads are on the roadmap. They’ll be opt-in (you watch one to get a power-up boost), never interruptive. We chose this model because it lets us keep the core experience free without the dark patterns that hurt other platforms.
Dice fairness — the short version
The biggest complaint about online backgammon is “the dice feel rigged”. We hear that. The fix is two parts: better RNG, and being transparent about it.
The full fairness explainer is coming soon. It’ll cover the cryptographic RNG we use, where the entropy comes from, and (in a later release) commit-reveal so you can independently verify every roll after a game.
What’s next
- Mobile apps (iOS + Android, both in App Store / Google Play)
- Tournament mode (ranked play with a leaderboard)
- The fairness explainer + per-game roll log
If you find a bug, want to suggest a feature, or just want to play a few games with us, we’d love to hear from you.
